THE ESSENCE OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
The landscape, cultivated or natural, is an artifice before it becomes the object of a piece of art. The landscape architect makes it possible to establish a link between man and nature, through building and shaping the landscape. Landscape architecture is based on the perception of how a certain environment works and what makes each space unique. It is the art of transforming, it is the science that sustains knowledge, it is the understanding of culture, it is the integration of man in nature, implying an interdisciplinary approach.

Rita Guedes | Graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Vila Real, with a master's degree in Landscape Architecture from Greenwich University, She began her career at the EDAW/AECOM office in London. She has been developing landscape architecture projects and research projects since 2007.
Luisa Brandão | Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Vila Real. In 2014, she did an internship at the atelier b2b arquitectes, in Barcelona. She returns to Portugal to complete her master's degree, and begins her career as a freelancer. Worked at atelier ritaguedes - arquitectura paisagista between 2017 and 2021.
Beatriz Lopes | Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Porto. In 2020, she starts a Curricular Internship at the Associação de Municípios do Parque das Serras do Porto She worked at atelier ritaguedes - arquitectura paisagista between 2021 and 2022.
Henrik Beck | Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Porto. Spent his Curricular Internship at the Department for Planning and Urbanism of the Matosinhos City Hall in 2018. Started working as a freelancer in 2019 in partnership with studios such as STILL Urban Design, among other individual architects and artists. Worked at the PROAP studio in Lisbon during 2022, before joining ritaguedes - arquitectura paisagista in 2023.
